Composting Program at Nardin Academy

We want to reduce the amount of garbage that Nardin produces. We will use the composted material to make better soil for our National Wildlife Habitat and Monarchwaystation.

We will be educating the Academy about composting. We want to make the students aware of how it works. Students range in age from 3 - 18 years of age which means we will be presenting the material in an age-appropriate way.

Our plan is to produce a video to educate the high school which will be shown on TV morning announcements. Our group participated in Nardin Elementary's Earth Day Assembly and talked to the Elementary students about composting.

The next step is to actually begin the program. Our goal is to compost for a week or two before the school year ends.
